A 2D ultrasound is a medical imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce a two-dimensional, flat image, of your baby.
A 3D ultrasound creates a more detailed and realistic representation of the area being imaged. This is achieved by using multiple 2D images taken from different angles and then assembling them into a 3D image.
A 4D ultrasound is a medical imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to create a dynamic, real-time 3D video of your baby. Similar to 3D ultrasound, multiple 2D images are taken from different angles and then assembled into a 3D image. However, with 4D ultrasound, these images are continuously updated, providing a live video of your baby moving, yawning, smiling, etc.
A 5D/6D ultrasound can be done in real time or as a still image, with the added benefit of motion, color, and depth perception. 5D/6D gives the most detailed, accurate view of what your baby looks like.
